Didi was such a delightfully poignant film w/ so many layers of challenges on the characters. I saw it w/ my friend who is also a 1st Gen kid- we commiserated and connected over how much we saw the story in ourselves. Come for the humor & nostalgia, stay for the character arcs.

Wow, that was a wild ride of a movie 🤣 batshit bizarre with SO MUCH sex it became almost meaningless, but I mostly liked it besides some story points and deeply entrenched Orientalism. An interesting commentary and critique on the freedom of women (or lack of) and how men try to tame them or mold them into something they're not. A lot of the men in this film reminded me of my exes lol
What's always interesting about these types of movies is that they become the very thing they're critiquing.

Set and costume design was impeccable.

Really amazing and snappy adaptation of a book that I enjoyed. Made it even more interesting to me, while also keeping the heart and "breaking bad" elements of Snow's evolution.

If you've read the book you'll know how the story plays out. It's not as strong as the original first 2 books, but still heartbreaking. Lots of lore for the history of Panem.

I wanted more heart-rending moments, but maybe I shouldn't have expected that from this particular story.

A fun romp that is both clever and surprising in many ways! Great script and dialogue.
Really glad I saw this one and insisted we watch it after waiting so many months.

Whoever choreographed the action did an amazing job and knows a thing or two about archery/arrow safety 😆
