Brazil 1985
While Gilliam's style usually doesn't gel for me, it would be impossible for me not to love Brazil. It's acting, cinematography, writing, and simply incredible production design work perfectly with his directing. Visually incredible, absolutely hilarious, equal parts biting satire and hilarious wit, I don't even have a single bad thing to say about it. I really didn't expect to love this movie as much as I did (I wasn't that into The Fifth Element and have kind of avoided Gilliam films since) but this may be a new favorite of mine. 5/5 stars
