This was elite. Soderbergh was absolutely cooking. Fassbender and Blanchett are both at the top of their games. Great thriller.

“I’m your huckleberry”
Absolutely loved this. Beautifully shot with great performances and a genuinely insane cast. Grateful to have finally seen it. Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday especially stand above the rest in my opinion, but Kurt Russell is great in the lead as Wyatt Earp.

Vox Lux is one of my favorite films of the year. From it’s intense and extremely relevant start, to its beautiful, cathartic finish, it never loosened its grip on me. Brady Corbet’s film starts with tragedy and walks us through (by way of Willem Dafoe’s narration) the birth of a true star in Celeste.

David Lowery really did it with this one. My hype knew no bounds in the lead up to this viewing and it still delivered regardless of my lofty expectations. Dev Patel is impossibly good as Gawain. Alicia Vikander is so enthralling in one sequence that she damn near steals the whole film, even with Dev’s towering performance in the lead.
