  It’s no Showdown in Little Tokyo, but it has sufficient explosions and violence to make up for a threadbare plot. Also like Showdown it’s pretty homoerotic. Lots of funny one liners and stunts.

  Interstellar has its moments - it is often awe-inspiring, emotional, and suspenseful. But it is a dumb movie, and I can't forgive that. I like a good Nolan blockbuster, but I'm not going to sit here pretending that it's anything more than elevated schlock - it is loud and often stupid, and doesn't rise above its popcorn-movie status to deserve the 5-stars and praise it gets. Honestly, this movie is pretty overrated.

  Oof, wanted to like this one but I didn't particularly enjoy it. Found the central conflict a little dry and the humour didn't work for me.

Following
