Throughout most of the film, I was uneasy with the idea of him getting away with the murders. However, in the final minute, the movie masterfully shifts this narrative, leaving you with a sinking feeling.
That said, I prefer The Talented Mr. Ripley because it delves deeper into Ripley's obsession with Greenleaf long before the murder. It also explores Ripley in various social situations, even when Greenleaf isn't present.
