Sofia Coppola makes so much sense now.

It’s kind of mad that this movie was made by a man, it is just so insanely manic pixie dream girlish.

Still in a Victorian swoon. Take me to the rock.

I never knew a missed button on a dressing gown could have so much dramatic impact.

I haven’t figured out what the meaning behind the missing kitchen chair is yet but I will.

Madonna’s hit single “What it feels like for a girl” was going round and round in my head afterwards.

All in all, a great experience!

    Fuck yeah.
The script and most of the acting are pretty bad but when you have action scenes, a “villain” and a soundtrack this good, you really can’t fail.
Willem Dafoe has never looked better. In clothes. Not in clothes. Features illuminated by his cute pyromania. Brow furrowed in concentration making all those perfect counterfeit dollars.
Best car chase I’ve ever seen. A real beauty.
That Wang Chung soundtrack is an event in itself.
I’d watch it again next week tbh.

Without spoiling, I was expecting something spookier...
The main characters never really achieve 3 dimensionality but they just about get away with it because the acting is so good. No one does an entitled, manipulative asshole like Judey and Carrie Coon adds depth to what would otherwise have been a very muddled persona.
Fun appearance from the mom in The Santa Clause and Air Force One, who is, it turns out, actually old enough to be Carrie Coon’s mother.
    Besides…
