  Congratulations to Anna Kendrick for her directorial debut! I would love to read more about this story. Kendrick’s version tells it effectively through the eyes of the women involved. Unsettling and beautifully shot, you are fully transported into the 1970s and   at a crisp 89 minutes, the time flies. Anna, as always, was excellent on screen, as were the other women actors (and a surprise Tony Hale).

  This was shockingly bad.  I am embarrassed for everyone in it and a little disappointed in Julia Roberts for being in this. It was racist, sexist, homophobic, obtuse and even managed to throw in a quick jab at little people as well.
