A Real Pain 2024
The acting is obviously top tier which is why I HATED Benji so much. Complexities of the human experience are on display, watching your beloved old friend (in this case, cousin) move on and up without you whilst wallowing in one’s own suffering obviously is going to bring up myriad emotions.
This said, I could not get over the narcissistic tendencies in this character and therefore it irritated me to no end, wanted to jump through the screen.

Younger boy seduces older woman - an age old trope. A couple of twists in there, overall plot line was relatively predictable but just fun to watch?
Who doesn’t love a naughty little power dynamic. Hints of well placed humor and irony throughout added to the viewing experience for sure. Mans looked well cute in his little white tank.
Love when women get filthy with it - club scene made me wanna give up dry Jan and hit the rave IMMEDIATELY.
