A post war British masterpiece. Stunning use of location and impressionistic lighting. Light and dark played out on all levels. Loved it.

Fab colour production, high quality Hammer.  Cushing and Lee as good guys is always a pleasure.

Look, I’m not going to apologise.

I wanted to see a film with Adam Driver and dinosaurs.

    That’s it.

In this context, it’s a fucking banger.

Lucky enough to see this in the big screen.

It is an astounding piece of cinema not one I’d fully appreciated on a smaller screen. I learned more about composition in the films run time than I did from 3 years animation degree and a masters in film. It’s all so effortlessly done and wholly driven to tell story.

As for production design it is simply a time machine to the period helped massively by some really great sound design. Details come and go with sounds isolated and amplified.

Almost 70 years old and still the power to move.
