  Nicely composed and crafted. Formally assured.

  Feels quite typical of a kind of over smart art house energy that is quite pervasive.

  Apparently inspired by the filmmaker seeing some biker's randomly all riding in circles, showing off to no-one. Something like that, the pure 'boys and their toys' pleasure loses its life force when its filtered through that academic and highly conceptualised form.

  Hmmmmm. 

  Anticipated this for longer than any film in my life. Funny that. 

  Such a cold viewing experience. Really not enjoyable (as and as not intended). Normally I get a thrill out of films willing to unsettle. This time, no thrill.

  Right. This was really fucking good. I can’t believe that eggers wrote that script. The dialogue, the monologues are wild. Pattinson’s very good and Willem is amazing. I could watch them go at it all day. Such a mystical, dark, seasalty atmosphere.
  I can’t speak highly enough.
