  While the inversion idea definitely borders on gimmick, and I think the themes could have been infinitely better served with less exaggerated backdrops/scenarios, I think there’s still a lot to admire in the film, most certainly in Nolan’s thematic ambition. I enjoyed the ride regardless.

  This might merit 4 stars from me with some time. I thought it was a very tight movie with superb photography, the plot may have not been the most nuanced or memorable, but neither was it anywhere close to boring. Perhaps a bit predictable, but don't we all want to see something familiar every once in a while?
