It started interesting but it lost me very quickly. the film tackles themes like rehabilitation, family dynamics and fertility questions, but they remain surface-level, lacking depth and meaningful exploration. Characters arc feels flat, with interactions that fail to reveal deeper emotional layers or drive the story forward. Most disappointing is the film‘s subtle yet clear conservative stance on abortion, which undermines it’s complexity (even though that is not the main theme of the film but it seems the director wanted…

a fetish view on young girls, their sorority, their mourning and their bodies. The characters are poorly constructed and seen more like an avatar of a perfect female body swimming and floating around in 16mm. Why the close ups in their vaginas and the strong erotization of their friendship? I was myself hipnotized with their beauty and bodies but thats nothing else there. Young smart girls who in 2020 (after the recent rape accusations and me too) venerate Woody Allen?! Bitch please! Men, please don’t make a fool of yourselves and stop writing female stories with your dicks

I wasn’t expecting much from Nolan but this one was a hard to watch. All women characters are shallow, poorly written and they rotate like liveless stars around the male characters. Those actress are fantastic and that’s just a waste of talent to cast them like that. Apart from that the editing is sometimes not in passe with the story which make everything even more uncomfortable. The script, music, photography are mediocre in this film. The casting of Casey Affleck, sued twice for sexual harassment, is the cherry of this falic cake.
