    "It always makes me feel a bit melancholy. Grand old war ship being ignominiously hauled away for scrap... The inevitability of time, don't you think?"

    There are certain cinematic experiences that just stick with you. Seeing "Skyfall" at the cinema back in 2012 was one for me, I'll never forget it. It reignited my love for the Bond series and I absolutely adored it.

    A wonderful film to celebrate 50 years, there are lots of references to the previous films…

    A slick neo-noir thriller. There's a tremendous sense of late-80s style thanks to solid direction, nice cinematography and a really good soundtrack. The film is also tremendously cast.

    This film is brimming with testosterone with bulging triceps (Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers have never looked better), lots of guns, sweat, massive explosions and pussy jokes.     There are some witty lines, good voice acting, a tremendous style of animation and some of the best pop songs recorded thanks to The Beatles. However, there's not much of a story so the constant run of loosely linked sections doesn't engage for the entire duration. For all its strengths the overall film is ok fun.
