  God damn this film is so interesting and good. To see Michael’s slow yet eminent transition into a member of his own family, abandoning the woman he claims to love…it’s so frustrating in the best way. Everyone talks  about Brando’s performance and it’s obviously incredible, BUT I feel like both Keaton and Pachino fucking SELL THIS! The editing and Copala’s directing are able to create this environment that makes me feel both incredibly anxious yet…comforted? idk what that says about me. I’m not sure if AFI putting this at #2 on the list is justified but I am not mad I was able to revisit this film.
