  It’s like a really bland and boring Brazil. Satire is so on the nose, there’s no real mystery about what anything represents. What’s up with every piece of media doing something about doubles and clones? Find another metaphor!

  So the director’s cut is way too long. With that out of the way, the way James Cameron edits the action sequences in this is mesmerising. The movie also feels very human, and the suggestion in the final act that the Aliens might also have some humanity is such a  beautiful and unsettling touch that I can’t help thinking this is the best movie in the franchise.

  Nosferatu the Vampyre 1979

  There's a million reasons why this is better and scarier than A24's latest ai generated garbage but Nosferatu being an incel played by Klaus Kinsky instead of some weird cosmic horror chad is a big one.

  Wish I'd seen it before tbh, beautiful film that deserves to stand on its own.
