so so so so good. the ending was incredibly moving, it was hilarious, heartbreaking, personal, and the cinematography and production design was spectacular.
I haven’t seen almost any Iranian films, so a part of the film surely was lost on me. I will have to explore and watch some and then revisit this film down the road to get the extra layer of appreciation.
So so so so lovely. Simple and extremely well done. The aesthetic was great, the editing was fantastic, and the interviews were just so human and down to earth. Also surprisingly intersectional for an early 90s film, which was great.
I need to watch more documentaries, more Canadian films, more queer films, and more NFB films. Highly recommend.
this absolutely gutted me
