This movie totally sucks, and I love it. It was the coolest thing I’d ever seen back when I was a young teen.
The soundtrack still fucks heavy and Aaliyah is a treasure.

I got to see this on the “big” screen at the local arthouse. As per the laws of physics, someone rude loudly commented, grunted, and open mouth guffawed throughout the film, but a mere seat away from me.
Enjoyable viewing despite Neanderthal interference.My friend (first viewing) commented, “I don’t get it”. Same, buddy. Same.

Inland Empire 2006
One thing I love about Lynch is that he does Lynch completely contextualised by the zeitgeist at hand. This was very 2006 (which is why I don’t mind the film quality as much as some).
I remember torrenting this and watching it on my little laptop sometime in the mid-late 00s. I didn’t get him then. I don’t get him now. And I love every second of it.
