Kinda glad it took me forever to watch this! Seeing Mikey Madison in interviews and then watching her transform on-screen made her performance even more magical. Other standout for me was Yura Borisov’s performance- so so subtle, beautiful, and funny. The cut to the credits gave me chills. Sean Baker really has it.

Adolescence 2025
Feeling like I missed something because I did not find this compelling. One take gimmick made it not painfully boring but it got old after a while. I was completely out of it by the last episode, and ultimately found it emotionally manipulative. I think this type of story is important but could be told in a much better way. Extremely blunt and genuinely cringey at certain points. Performances were great though, especially in episode 3.

Had really high hopes for this one, but this is probably the dumbest I’ve ever felt after watching anything and the worst part is I have absolutely zero desire to rewatch it. Visually a spectacle and an outstanding score. Opening gave me chills.
