An original, unique, wild story with great gore and some heavy undertones. I avoided all marketing for this and WOW am I glad I did. Because of how unpredictable this movie is, I will not say anything more. Go watch it.

I watched this at an advanced screening and the lady next to me asked her husband, “Is he dead?”

This was very entertaining. The problem that all based-on-a-true-story movies have, that there’s a happy ending, is in very unfortunate display here. While not being a total deal breaker, this definitely kept me from being effectively thrilled.

Extremely entertaining but not cheap in any way. The Truman show is a unique, thought-provoking, terribly enjoyable movie that I genuinely can’t think of one criticism for. It has something for everyone and I can’t wait to revisit it.

    *Theatrical Cut*

Watched a YouTube explanation and I still don’t really get it. The narrative was a little too ambiguous for my taste. I think I’ll have to rewatch this and see if I understand what Richard Kelly was trying to say.

Extremely entertaining and unpredictable. This is a morally ambiguous masterpiece. It lulls you into thinking it’s a classic western and then hits you in the head with a pressurized air gun. There’s a very intelligent, subtle irony present throughout and it’s incredible.
