I enjoyed Parasite plenty, but i didn’t see the masterpiece that everyone else seemed to, however THIS MOVIE SLAPSSSSS.
It has such incredible performances from the whole cast (especially mark ruffelo and Toni Collette), and the humour was so on point, this style of humour just works for me idk why.
It’s got great political undertones and some satirical commentary that felt very apt.
The core story is such a fun concept and it is explored excellently.
I think the film balances the tones of humour and an actual dynamic story really well.

I honestly feel like such a fun hating snob for sharing this seemingly unpopular opinion, but man this movie is just so average.
Don’t get me wrong, i enjoyed the action scenes as much as the next person, and i thoroughly enjoyed the soundtrack, and the way music is mixed with the editing of some scenes. There are some really good sequences in the film too, in particular i really enjoyed the scene with the old man outside the care…

I think it’s so fascinating that a goofy space opera with a small budget from the late 1970s created a universe that is so rich and universally adored, that at almost 50 years later, we as a society have still not gotten over its magical hold on us.
I would give anything to experience this film in the 70s, it truely would have been one of the most crazy film experiences of all time.
