Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
watched this for valentine’s weekend and i’ve barely recovered since. might be the greatest romcom i’ve seen yet post-2020s. i did not expect how mature and retrospective the film would be. i think this was the best third installment film of a trilogy (not counting lotr), better than the before trilogy at least.
i probably need to watch this again to provide a more coherent review.

delayed watching this for so long for the exact reason that, for the first 30 mins of the film, i was so full of anxiety. and damn the husband is an asshole. adam brody has never failed me.
i’m slightly conflicted about the ending. i mean there are lots of theories on why they exploded but i feel like it justifies what the family did to the bride and therefore runs against its messaging about the rich and their obsession…
