  First things first: the trend of splitting the last book of an adaptation in to two films needs to stop and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part One (dat title...) is a great example of why. This film really really suffers as set up for the final installment. This film drags.   I see lots of folks are throwing out 5 star ratings, but I didn't feel as enthused about this film. Yes, it's beautiful. Yes, the film is a major technological achievement. Yes, it is amazing in IMAX.

  I really really like dystopian films. There's just something about a bleak future (probably combined with some bureaucracy) just is something I can get in to. Don't ask me why. That being said, it's really hard to not compare this film to Brazil since the settings are very very similar, but I digress.
