I’m so confused as to why this movie is very loved and popular. Really bad storytelling, horrible script, with really bad jokes that miss every single time.

Treasure Planet 2002
I watched this movie for the first time years ago and I found it very touching and heartwarming. I’m Still Here (Jim’s Theme) by John Rzeznik became one of my all time favourite tearjerking songs. I have since long forgotten the movie’s plot, but I always had it in my heart for someone reason.
I just rewatched it again and I finally know why it warmed my heart so much. I watched it after my dad passed away and John Silver was the personification of exactly what I was missing. This movie will forever be deep in my heart ♡
