The Master 2012
A movie with a proper underbelly. No need to tie the concepts up in a bow—let them brew and bubble in a world created by the characters. Some people seem to have a problem with this, but it's what makes The Master so large.

I and II were alright, III had waaaaay too much on its plate.
This anthology just keeps missing the right notes. At certain times it feels contrived, at others undercooked, or plain uninteresting, or random, insignificant, messy, tedious, puzzling, frivolous. These stories would have benefited from some more focused world-building.
Plemmons, Stone, and Dafoe heighten the material.
The title cards remind me of the stupid ones from The Menu.
The score is annoying, he has to stop with that.
