  Wow why did I love this movie so? I relate to it in such a direct, visceral way. Not an intellectual experience. It’s so energetic! The profusion of life, the irrepressibility of play and love, the resourcefulness of the earth’s creatures. And our destructive naïveté. The golden hour between not knowing and knowing too late. The fugitive way we evade our loss. The wincing earth who can only take so much. The railroad rumbling on. These are my thoughts!

  Feeling confused and alienated by all you respected friends who liked this movie… it was boring? Sentimental like a drug store wall calendar? It wore me down, kind of like getting a competent but long massage from someone you gradually come to wish would get off you and stop breathing so close to your neck????
