You wouldn't think a movie based on a theme park ride would turn out as splendid as this. A superb action adventure block buster of its day with line upon line of witty diolog, memorable characters, great practical effects, and impressive computer animation. Spirited Away 2001
The heavyweight champion of Studio Ghibli. And probably of all animated cinema. I can't express how gorgeous Spirited Away is. It is an absolute visual feast. Escape from Germany 2024
Part of me really wanted to like this... Escape From Germany is a really weird one. Unless you either know A LOT about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or are a member, you'll feel alienated from this movie. That to me is kind of unfortunate even though I understand a lot of the peculiar lingo members of the church use, especially out in a mission.
