A really disappointing final entry in the trilogy.
I have had an issue with the dialogue in all three films as completely unnatural and it is at its worst here as it feel as though Richard Linklater is just talking to himself. I'm sure Linklater could have done something much more interesting with the story here, instead he turns them into twisted caricatures of themselves just to explore an unhappy marriage.
This basically just felt like 100 minutes of going through a divorce.
I imagine this to be the kind of film Carmela Soprano would love watching with her priest as she complains about Tony.

Anora 2024
An excellent film and I will be curious to see if it holds up on a rewatch on the small screen.
The film really evokes the feeling of euphoria followed by a crash back to reality. It is not didactic, rather it lays out some interesting morality and mixed and chaotic motives.
The Russian and Armenian henchmen/handlers were a great blend of comedy and great acting.
Where I feel it is let down is that Anora isn't really fleshed out…

Conclave 2024
A very well made film with some beautiful cinematography and acting. The third act is bizarrely paced, and introduces plot points which are never dealt with. For a setting drenched in intrigue, faith and politics it has little interesting to say about any of these.
