This worked for me because I didn’t have to “separate the art from the artist” in the sense that Brad Pitt was pretty unlikable in this film as he is irl. Lots of fun, but the scenes with dialogue crucial to the plot and like the entire resolution were written as if everyone just wanted to get it over with and get back to the speedy car, shooty gun scenes. But really I liked it. George Clooney is still daddy.

My friend asked me to go see Dune 2 this weekend and I thought, “I don’t have time to see the first one so I’ll read the Wikipedia page” but then I immediately got confused and said, “fuck it I’ll just watch the thing and skip through the boring parts since it’s 2.5 hours long” but guess what I didn’t skip through anything because it wasn’t boring!
