  Less interesting to me as political commentary, more interesting as a mini exploration of unconditional love and what it means to accept the ever-changing whole of a person (and/or accept the whole of yourself).

  The best part was the frenemy-father-son dynamic. We need more of those. Lost me in the third act but got me back on board with the extra cool ending.

  A+ screenplay and A+ Tom Cruise but his revelation at the end felt unearned. Does he have avoidant attachment style? The agent-player relationship was explored better and I really liked that part. Renée in the beginning was peak ‘not like other girls’, which I thought was setting up a love story that I was going to hate myself for being invested in, but that didn’t really pan out. I like the world this was set in.
