    Shame

    ★★★

Felt it was necessary to rewatch this after my Nymphomaniac session  because Shame is the male counterpart to that kind of story.

    Brandon appears composed, controlled, self-assured.
But behind that façade rages a storm of suppressed emotions: grief, anger, longing  all buried beneath shame.
(Shame is a secondary emotion, a cover for what truly lies beneath.)

Shame isn’t a film about sex addiction.
It’s about what happens when shame teaches us to unlearn how to feel.

“The secret ingredient to sex is love.” 💯💯

    Nymphomaniac

Visually, Her is a poem. The soft close-ups amplify my empathy for Theodore and his deep longing for real…

What truly matters in life ?

Subtle yet emotionally intense, „Like Father, Like Son“ shows Kore-eda’s ability to capture the complexities of human relationships with authenticity and grace.

    slow-paced but deeply engaging

This is my second Kore-eda Film, but I have to admit, I’m a huge fan of his work 🌸
