  This is my third viewing of Mirror. It is still just as beautiful, confusing, and thought-provoking as it was on the first watch. Plot movement and character development deliberately takes a backseat in favor of impressionistic and occasionally surreal images of landscapes, love, memories, and family. Black-and-white documentary footage (World War II, Mao Zedong's China) is erratically inserted in-between scenes.
