Okay stab to the heart. First of all queer media, culture, literature, PEOPLE saves lives. Seeing yourself exist on screen and in the world can keep people alive. Second of all, what a devastating ending. Third of all, “if I don’t think about it, it’s not real.” 😭 so much symbolism in this movie. I could go on and on. And lastly!!!! Phoebe Bridgers, what are you doing here?

Been getting really getting into historical fiction lately. I loved the continuous shot feel of this. I thought they did well with this considering there was very little dialogue. What kills me after watching war movies is that we sent boys to kill and be killed, boys!!! I’m still haunted by that beautiful hymn the soldier was singing.

Zoë fucking Kravitz really did it with this one. This was what Don't Worry Darling tried to be and still so so much more.

Its depiction of becoming aware and awake to systems of power was beautifully done. At first it comes in glimpses and what follows is sickening and overwhelming. then it becomes so clear that you can’t unsee it, and you just feel rage.

It’s ability to capture cancel culture in a way I’ve never seen it done……

You know I love a good Timmy movie and this is no exception. He was great in it and it was a great biopic, but it was also just that—another great biopic. I really liked it and I think it was well done but I probably won’t watch it again. And certainly not without subtitles, I could’ve really used those for this one.
