The Brutalist 2024
Brady Corbet's Vox Lux is the reason I joined letterboxd because I had to remember how much I do not like his pretentious movies and The Brutalist reminded me of this.
3 movies in one, no intermission is needed, rape on screen is never necessary. This was made by a man for himself and the film bros.
Good cinematography, score, architecture, and Adrien Brody's performance, but for me, that doesn't make up for a story and script that is all over the place and completely lacks focus in the second half of the film.Translated from by
