  It completely broke me in the end. What a film on memories, parenthood and depression. It really makes me rethink the unpleasant memories I had with my father as a kid. The recurring scene of adult Sophie trying to find her dad at the rave is brilliant as it not only reflects the elusive and fragmented nature of memories but also as a metaphor that she could never be in a place to fully understand her dad’s struggles at the time no matter how hard she tries. I think this is the film that will just get better after each rewatch. Wow
