Sick sucks. Now that that's outta the way, let's add some nuances and detail here. While competently acted and directed, the major drawback to this outing from Kevin Williamson is...Kevin himself. The writing is largely mediocre, and the premise attempts to "both sides" the debate on taking COVID seriously but ultimately champions the message of the denier/"personal freedom" crowd. The vision and concept are certainly deserving of attention and praise. That said, there is no way to recommend this film broadly. This movie is an endurance test in both its visual presentation and pacing. And while there is an audience for what Skinamarink is offering, to act as though this would or should appeal to the mainstream is a cocktail of dishonesty and pretension.
