to be honest, I still don’t know what to make of this movie. it is certainly not what I had been expecting it to be. I think the reputation of this film has outpaced its actual content; many people (very much including myself) who have not seen taxi driver assume they know what it is about and who travis bickle is, but this perception is very much mistaken.
