Heretic 2024
Hughetic.
An incredibly well-written and tense thriller, Heretic makes interesting commentary surrounding faith and the true purpose of humanity. From the moment they enter the house, this sense of dread took hold of me and didn’t let go.
As for the performances? All were perfect. No notes. The third act really goes for it, and I respect the hell out of it.
I never thought Hugh Grant wearing glasses would be creepy, but he sure made a believer out of me!

Mickey 17 2025
Next time someone calls me a creeper, just so you know, that’s a HUGE compliment.
Such a blast. R-Patts gives an awesome dual performance. Mark Ruffalo chews the scenery with those teeth. Naiomi Ackie oozes charisma. And there’s a great amount of physical comedy in here too!
Also, I adore well-crafted sci-fi set design and this delivers. The world feels so lived in. Love it.

Lost on a Mountain in Maine 2024
Boy, that mountain sure was misty. Wait. No. It was just my eyes.
Bold, breathtaking and bursting with heart, Lost on a Mountain in Maine is an inspiring tale about family and an ode to the human spirit. It’s a journey I would gladly get lost in again.
Big plus was being able to witness a live Q&A from Director Andrew Kightlinger at the Sioux Falls State Theatre. He didn’t have an easy task, but like Donn he took on that mountain and inspired us all. 👏
