Stalker 1979
Tarkovsky delivers a film that does not seek to necessarily entertain. While the long takes may be boring to average viewers, it’s his purpose which engages and forces viewers to form their own interpretations of this masterpiece . "Stalker" is undeniably correlated to the idea of faith and its place in the real world. However, the debate comes along when one tries to decide on Tarkovsky's exact stance. Viewers are tasked to delve into their own morals in order to…

Midsommar 2019
It is disappointing to see a film with such promise be clouded by an obvious ploy to be artsy. Aster's overambitious Midsommar drastically reduces all interest in not just it's characters, but the plot itself. Whatever intrigue the exposition may have possessed is slowly brought to a grinding halt by the second act, with every new scene dripping with one of two things: predictability or tedious repetition. It's as if the audience is expected to forgive the monotonous tone, just…

Mickey 17 2025
I love Bong Joon Ho and his directing style, but the overall flow of "Mickey 17" was odd. There was an extremely long exposition but it still didn't flesh out enough of the characters. I know this was more of a comedy, but in a way, so was "Parasite". It could have been a tad more sophisticated. Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette were the stars of the show. I fear Mark Ruffalo is becoming typecast into the comedically evil villain character, but he plays it so well. I still thoroughly enjoyed the film, just would've made a few tweaks to the focus of it.

M3GAN 2022
98 percent. 98 percent was the initial rating rotten tomatoes gave this god awful movie. From beginning to end I was praying for the credits. Unlike what the reviews say, “M3GAN” is completely unfunny, has lifeless acting, shit sci-fi/horror elements, and above all, terrible writing. With all my heart, I think the trailer is better than the actual movie itself. Maybe a 1/2 star is too harsh but the thing that really bothers me is that film critics, the most pretentious people on the fucking planet, found this to be entertaining or campy in the slightest.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny 2023
This was tricky for me because I absolutely love the original trilogy, and I even think the fourth one gets way too much hate. I knew that this last installment of the franchise would never live up to the charm or style of its predecessors, and I was right for the most part. “Dial of Destiny” truly wasn’t terrible, but it was nothing special either. A better villain would have been nice, even though I love Mads Mikkelsen, and the…
