Oppenheimer 2023
While not my favorite Nolan movie, worth the buzz and critical acclaim. Far more of a talkie, than the rest of Nolans work, wont be getting any gun fighting or car chases, but will keep your attention through the 2 hour plus run time. Never really knew about how much Oppenheimer was affected by McCarthyism and how it impacted his work on the Manhattan Project. Visually an impressive movie. How they depict Oppenheimer’s thought process as it relates to quantum physics and his understanding of the universe was great aspect of the movie.

Amazing performances by the entire ensemble cast but Hugh Jackman for sure stands out in this movie. Father losing his daughter forces him to do unhinged behavior that would typically be out of the norm for the character. While Jackman and Gyllenhal get their flowers for this film, don’t overlook Cuba Gooding Jr., Viola Davis and Maria Bello. Edge of your seat type watch and with few dips in the action.
