  I understand the appeal of The Strangers because the concept of it is excellent, but it wears off so fast. There's only so much suspense you can hold with little glimpses of masked invaders before it gets boring. So to take a 90 minute film (which I felt already went on for too long) and make it a trilogy feels stupid, especially when Chapter 1 is basically a remake of the 2008 film.
