Here's to Bond-villain-style-monologuing.
The first half of this film is brilliant and had me holding out hope it was going to exceed all my expectations. I’ve always loved a good theological debate and the Monopoly scene? Absolutely engrossing. Hugh Grant, unsurprisingly, is stellar and completely carries the acting in this film. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine it without him.
But then… we go down those stairs. And just like that, the film goes down the shitter.
RIP to what could have been.

The Menu 2022
Had a lot of fun with this. First half is Absolutely razor sharp and builds tension and anticipation of what’s to come so brilliantly. Second half kind of jumps the shark and the result is a third act that’s a bit of a damp squib. Ralph Fiennes is exceptional as usual though. Defo worth the watch.
