When this movie is utilizing its premise: guy who can’t feel pain in typical action movie surroundings, this is pretty good and the subversions and satirizing of action tropes is funny and enjoyable.
At its worst, this is just another dull action movie with many cliches you’d expect but thankfully Jack Quaid’s as-shucks performance and the rest of the cast put in good work to keep it from feeling totally stale.
