Irish movie in prep for st paddy’s
I usually try to find out as little as possible before watching a movie, but I wish I was a little more prepared going into this. Google categorizes it as a comedy/horror. Neither really apply. This movie was devastating.

Lowkey a less beautiful more fucked up remake of “Avatar”
mark ruffalo’s character and his wife were a little too cartoonishly evil imo. I feel like having a whole “lower class” of expendables would’ve been a little more interesting. Instead we only really see Mickey and other than the experiments, he’s treated more or less the same as everyone on board
Robert Pattinson killed it as usual. The difference in body language and mannerisms between 17 and 18 is good enough that you’re never left questioning which is which
Pretty intense subject matter but this movie still managed to be funny and a light peaceful watch. It’s filled with long slow lingering shots of gorgeous scenery and landmarks overlayed with classical music. Made me want to visit Poland.
I’m curious if Jesse Eisenberg had Kieran Culkin in mind when writing this cuz it’s the perfect part for him. The character had all the charisma and vulnerability of Roman but overall a much more genuine and kind person.
Visually stunning and nailed the gothic aesthetic. Movie felt like a nightmare. Hard to watch but couldn’t look away
I really hated the scene where it was just a close up of nicholas hoults face while he was running. Also lily rose’s shaking was a little silly at times.
Foley artist needs to chill the noise when she touches count orloks back was horrific
