  This film is not about superstitions, it’s about faith.

  Kinda strange to think the movie depicts the events that happened just 300 years before its creation. It’s not so far away if you think of it.

  I was thinking much about the Jungian archetype of the Shadow during the first part of the film and about how dark human soul can really be.

  The second part of the film was a bit more difficult to watch. They kinda lost me there. Still a good movie! 
  Very nice costumes, decorations and acting. Modern films look so fake when they try to show barns, or gallows or whatever.

  I liked the acting. Especially the twink (Drew Starkey) was good with moving his eyebrows while pretending sleeping. And the lady doctor, such a transformation from Mrs. Harrys. 

  But my goodness, why making it so long? Once I wrote on twitter and I repeat: any film longer than 1h 40min should have strong reasons for this! It’d be much better if it was shorter. Especially with a lot of dead ends like his addiction and cravings, Gene’s girlfriend, this scene…
