The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

    ★★★½

The amount of joy and nostalgia I experienced from simply just watching a 2D animated film in a movie theater in 2025 made The Day The Earth Blew Up worth seeing. About what you would expect from a Looney Tunes movie, but I mean that in the best way possible. Lots of screwball and slapstick humor, tons of non-sequiturs and puns, and of course plenty of sight gags. The plot is beyond obvious and really is just a means-to-an-end for…

    Love Me

    ★★★

I appreciate what this movie was trying to do, I just don't like how it went about trying to accomplish it. The final third was mostly solid, but the damage had been done. Really enjoyed all the live action stuff though.

    The Electric State

    ★★

Commits the cardinal sin of movies in that it's more boring than it is bad. The Electric State has some cool visuals and character designs but that's about all the good I can say about one of the blandest, most unexciting action movies you'll have the misfortune of coming across on streaming this year. The Russo Brothers still have a knack for competent action sequences, but who cares when the only emotional connection you have to any of the characters…
