The Brutalist 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Starting from one of the greatest openings and most inventive credit sequences I’ve seen, the first half of this film is a masterpiece. Unfortunately I felt it stumbled out of the intermission. Corbet’s direction is incredible and the score is perfectly epic. It reminded me a lot of Barry Lyndon, especially the fall from grace, but didn’t stick the landing like that does. Still fantastic though. I definitely recommend taking the time to see it in theaters.
