Honestly better than I was expecting after initial reviews. Maybe don’t deepfake actors or whatever and tone down the homages to older Alien films. The visuals were excellent in this and I especially appreciated the practical effects. Huge props to the production design team for this whole film, from the mining colony to the space station, everything looked great! Overall a decent entry in the Alien franchise!

Fright Night 1985
Can’t believe I waited so long to see this. Honestly the practical effects alone were dope enough for me and then add the rest of it on top and it’s just a perfect little “neighbor is a monster” horror/comedy.

Red Rocket 2021
Sean Baker has yet to disappoint me. His ability to capture such specific subcultures in the US is astonishing. Red Rocket is definitely a film I can see splitting a room, but for me it’s a tremendous, human story. At the risk of ruining this film for anyone I will not spoil anything, but I have to recommend taking the time to watch it.
