  Okay, but when they talk about going for a swim, they’re definitely talking about something else, right? I mean, come on.

  Anyway, this was fantastic. It starts off completely unhinged, and at very few points did I have any idea where it was going next. Also, it seemed like there was a shockingly high number of female characters with agency and fun dialogue, given the era and genre. (Dinah was my favorite.)

  At long last, Drew agreed to watch my favorite movie of 2024. Honestly, I was maybe the most nervous I’ve ever been. Way more nervous than when I introduced him to my parents. I was really afraid he’d hate it. I would have been devastated.

  But huzzah! He liked it! Really liked it! And thus, our marriage remains unscathed and lives to movie-watch another day.

  The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024

  You know what? It was cute. Did it get a little repetitive and drag just a bit in the middle? Sure. But did I laugh and cheer and have a generally good time at the theater watching a feature-length Looney Tunes cartoon? Yes, I did.

  Also, Drew LOST HIS SHIT when Porky got his stutter. Like, the full-volume Drew-laugh. iykyk
