cried really hard watching this on a rock in Central Park in my work slacks after stumbling on the Conservancy Film Festival. the losses the doc captures over the seven years they filmed mitigate the glory but not the awe of the whip-fast first person GoPro shots and drone panoramas; human bodies ripping past trees and cliffs, until we lose them outside the lens.
even more perfectly suited than your average natgeo doc to randomly watch on a flight and land a changed person. also great for fans of the thank-god-my-SO-isn’t-Alex-Honnold effect.
