  some insight i gained from my second viewing and after reading the book, formatted for discord (too lazy to change it for here): 

  back to fight club tho, the movie actually adds a good amount of extra dialogue/detail to the narrators' narration
  makes it more explicitly critical of consumerism
  the visual aspect of film adds a whole other dimension to it, like the book never clearly outlines what they're doing in any given scene so there's a lot of liberty…
